I know a lot of people who loathe the very idea of oats but to me this is an interesting way of getting oats into your routine. Makes for a fabulous drink when you don’t have the time to make a decent breakfast.
So pep up your crazy weekday mornings with this jazzy smoothie that is super quick and super easy.
You will need:
1 cup quacker oats
1 cup of water
1 tablespoon of cocoa
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 cups of milk
slivered almonds (optional)
grated milk chocolate (optional)
Mix the oats and water and microwave for about 2-3 minutes. In a food processor, add the oats, milk, sugar and cocoa powder and whizz until smooth. If the consistency of the smoothie is too thick for your liking , add some more milk. Top with slivered almonds and some grated milk chocolate and serve.
