Festive chocolate bark

It is that time of the year again! I am beginning to feel very Christmasy and I am sure you are too. But like every year I have no idea how time flew. Wasn’t it just yesterday when we wished each other a happy new year?

Well, time flies for sure and what could be a better way of ending the year than on a sweeter note.

Coming to this nut sea salt chocolate bark, it is SO easy to make! Just melt chocolate, put on parchment paper, add your favorite toppings, refrigerate and VOILA!

They make great gifts for friends and family and makes you look like you’ve put so much effort into it, which is always a good thing. I picked things that were handy in my pantry but you could really experiment with the flavor combinations and if you are a grocery hoarder that I am known to be, you will always have some kind of cooking chocolate at home.

I think the sea salt makes a ton of a difference here and takes things to next level. Dark chocolate and sea salt should totally consider marrying each other.


150 gms of dark chocolate
1/2 cup of chopped hazelnuts
1/4 cup of chopped cashews
pinch of sea salt (for sprinkling)

Melt the dark chocolate on high for 1 minute in a microwave. Spread the molten chocolate onto a baking tray with parchment paper and even it out in a rectangular shape. Add the chopped nuts on top and sprinkle with sea salt. Refrigerate for 30 mins and serve.
