I could take the clichéd route by using words like “passionate” to describe my emotion for food but that would make it entirely one-dimensional. The intensity with which food affects me and my life transcends beyond these adjectives.
I consider food to be therapeutic in all its forms – Eating, cooking, feeding loved ones, styling and photographing.
And what I love most about food is how it teaches you to pause and immerse in the moment.
Have you ever seen a person cribbing while eating a slice of layered chocolate cake? If you have, then they must get their act together and eat a good chocolate cake.
I started this blog very casually, much before I got serious about baking and cooking but the obsession has continued ever since. Fortunately, blogging allows you to be a complete amateur, so I claim to be no connoisseur of cooking, in general. This is why you will see a lot of posts titled “easy” “no brainer” because I like to keep my cooking fuss-free and simple.
I do not have a sweet tooth, I have a sweet jaw which leads me to believe one can never be too full for dessert. This blog documents the tales of my love affair with baking and photography. It is hard to not get addicted to the aroma of freshly baked goods, sharing it with people you love and making it look so gorgeous that you want to lick your screens.
After developing an obsession with strength training and fitness in general this year, I’ve decided to focus on developing nourishing, diet-friendly recipes on this blog. As food bloggers, it is easy to get carried away and forget moderation (talking about me, of course). I firmly believe in making healthy, nourishing food tasty and not punishing contrary to popular belief and this blog will help me reinforce this idea.
All pictures in the blog are taken using Nikon D3000 that my father gifted me and my two trusty 50 and 35mm prime lenses.
I always credit recipes that inspire me. All the content and photographs are mine, unless otherwise noted. I’d love to hear from you if you try any of the recipes or like anything on the blog. Please feel free to leave a comment or write to me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I live in Hyderabad, India with my parents and maternal grandmother – All of them are terrific cooks.
Fun fact – I got my first tattoo a couple of years back that reads “Food. Life.” with a bunch of fork, spoon and knife.
